During an introduction course to Android development, one of our students approached us and asked for help to build an app to fly open source drones. What an interesting challenge!

Flone is a do-it-yourself Open Source drone made of wood and electronics that you can easily find in the market. In the way of making its construction as cheaper as possible, the Flone crew thought about replacing the expensive RF controllers with something that everyone has: a phone. So, we developed an app to fly the drone.

Before achieving it, we burnt some electronic parts.
